1. About these terms

These Terms of Service cover your use of ThreatShield AI and the services you order through this website. Contact us at info@threatshieldai.com.

Please read these terms together with the service description, your order details and our Privacy Notice. You must have authority to enter into any agreement on behalf of a business or other organisation.

2. Our services

ThreatShield AI provides security scanning, analysis and monitoring tools. Depending on the service selected, these may include website and URL checks, file scanning, image analysis, website monitoring, and network or authorised endpoint features.

Your purchase covers the features, usage limits, supported systems and service period described when you order. Purchasing one service does not automatically include every feature on the platform. Features identified as experimental or beta may have additional limitations, which will be explained before you choose to use them.

3. Accounts and access

Provide accurate account information, keep your login details private and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. Only share access where your plan expressly permits it. You must not resell access or bypass account restrictions, usage limits or security controls.

Creating an account does not itself authorise a payment. Charges arise from the paid service or subscription you expressly order, including any agreed payment after a trial.

4. Prices, trials and payments

The total price, applicable taxes, billing period, service duration and any recurring payment commitment will be shown before you confirm your order. Payments are processed through Stripe.

Where a free trial is offered, its duration, included features, eligibility conditions and what happens when it ends will be explained before you start. If the trial converts to a paid subscription, the charge, billing frequency and cancellation deadline must be disclosed before you agree.

An automatically renewing subscription renews on the basis agreed at checkout until cancelled. A non-renewing purchase ends at the end of its agreed service period unless you make a further purchase. We will not change the price of an existing paid period retrospectively. Any proposed renewal price change will be communicated in advance so you can decide whether to continue.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can request cancellation by emailing info@threatshieldai.com from your registered email address, identifying the service concerned. You may also use any cancellation control provided in your account. Do not send your password or full payment-card details.

Cancellation of automatic renewal stops future renewals. Unless you exercise a right to end the contract earlier, access continues until the end of the period already paid for. Cancelling renewal does not by itself create a right to a refund for that period; statutory rights and any additional refund promise made at purchase remain unaffected.

If you are a UK consumer purchasing a service online, you normally have 14 days from entering into the contract to cancel without giving a reason. A free trial does not replace or remove this statutory right.

If you expressly request that a service starts during the cancellation period, we may charge a proportionate amount for the service supplied before cancellation, but only where the legal requirements have been met. Your cancellation right is lost after full performance only where you gave the required prior consent and acknowledgement.

For digital content supplied immediately, any loss of the statutory cancellation right requires the separate express consent and acknowledgement required by law. Accepting these terms alone does not waive that right.

Where a statutory cancellation refund is due, we will make it within the applicable legal deadline, normally within 14 days of being informed of your cancellation, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed and without a refund fee.

These terms do not restrict your rights where a service is faulty, not as described or not supplied with reasonable care and skill. Contact us so we can investigate and provide the remedy required by law.

7. Authorised use

Only scan, monitor or install software on systems, devices, websites and content that you own or have permission to assess. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions from owners, administrators and other affected users.

Do not use the platform to attack third parties, disrupt services, evade access controls, distribute malicious material or conduct unlawful surveillance. Potentially suspicious files may be submitted only through the scanning features intended to analyse them and in accordance with their upload rules.

Do not upload passwords, private keys or unnecessary confidential or personal information. Check the Privacy Notice and relevant service instructions before submitting sensitive material.

8. Network and endpoint features

Endpoint monitoring or defensive actions require the relevant supported software, permissions, connection and configuration. Installing a website shortcut or web app does not by itself install an endpoint agent or provide device-wide monitoring.

Monitoring is limited to the data and systems the enabled service can access. It does not imply visibility of every device, application, connection or threat. Where defensive controls are provided, their operation depends on the supported actions and your authorised settings.

Automated actions can interrupt legitimate activity. Review the available controls and recovery instructions before enabling them. Disabling an agent, monitoring or defensive control may reduce or stop the corresponding functionality. These services do not authorise retaliation against third-party systems.

9. Detection and analysis limitations

No security tool can detect or prevent every threat. Results may include false positives and false negatives. A warning is an indicator requiring assessment, not conclusive proof of compromise. A clean result does not guarantee that a file, image, website, URL or device is safe.

Image analysis, including checks involving text, QR codes, metadata or concealed content, is limited by supported formats and available detection methods. It cannot guarantee detection of all hidden information, malware or harmful content.

Keep appropriate backups, software updates, access controls and other security measures in place. ThreatShield AI is not a VPN, insurance policy or a guarantee against data loss, fraud or financial loss. These limitations do not reduce our obligation to supply the service as described and with reasonable care and skill.

10. Privacy and submitted content

Our Privacy Notice explains how personal information, uploaded content and service telemetry are handled. Submitting content does not transfer ownership to us. You permit us to process it as necessary to provide the service you request, subject to applicable law and the Privacy Notice.

11. Availability, changes and suspension

Services may be interrupted by maintenance, technical faults or dependencies on other providers. We will use reasonable care and skill in providing the services and communicate material interruptions where reasonably practicable.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, a serious breach of these terms, non-payment or an immediate security risk. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Changes will not remove your statutory rights or retrospectively reduce an agreed paid service. If we discontinue a paid service or cannot provide a material part of it, we will explain the available remedies, including any refund due for the unused service.

12. Responsibility and your rights

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill, subject to applicable law.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing removes your statutory consumer rights.

13. Support, complaints and updates

For support, billing queries or complaints, contact info@threatshieldai.com. Include enough information to identify the issue, but do not include passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.

We may update these terms to reflect changes in our services or legal obligations. Material changes affecting an ongoing contract will be communicated in advance, with any notice, consent or cancellation rights required by law. Updates do not retrospectively remove rights relating to an existing purchase.
